Why Meditation Works

There are many ways for individuals to meditate, all of which have various benefits. In fact, there are literally hundreds of scientifically validated benefits of meditation such as reduced stress, diminished anxiety, improved focus, decreased tension and more self awareness, just to name a few.

However the process of meditation in Mindshaping Art has two main objectives.

Firstly, to train your mind to focus and direct your thoughts. And secondly, to quiet the conscious mind so that you can access your unconscious mind to change your pictures and reframe your negative stories.

When meditating, it is very common (especially in the beginning) that your mind will wander to various thoughts. Meditation allows you to notice when your thoughts have taken a different direction and gently bring your attention back to your focus. Meditation is the simple process of continuously regulating your attention.

Meditation also affords you a quick and easy way to access your unconscious mind. It encourages the mind and body to relax, to slow down and pause, allowing images and pictures to bypass the conscious mind and communicate directly with the unconscious.
